MIA

I have definitely been MIA since (eek) the 26th of May. I have promised a couple of ladies a free kit and will be sending them off today! I looked high & low for the transparencies (could not find them so substituted something similar) and have just plain been traveling. 26 hours to Buffalo, 36 hours to Arlington, 20 hours to Ft Lauderdale, home to spend time with my family, work, work & more work. I have really been thinking about this word trend that some very famous scrappers have been sharing. I have been really thinking that it is a very, very cool thing. How simple & uncomplicated is using one word, just one, to describe where you are, how you feel, how you are seeing things. The fact that I am liking it so much just means that now I have to jump on the bandwagon. So here is my word & why I chose it.

HAPPINESS
I don't think that I am going to scrap it right now, and I am definitely not going to change it anytime soon. I am just going to enjoy finding it, maybe get a t-shirt. But, it is what I crave and what myself and most of the people that I know are spending our lifetimes trying to achieve. Most people never quite find it and end up disappointed. I thought that I was in that category but I am learning a valuable lesson through the people that I am meeting. Happiness is not something that happens because you got a dream job or met the right guy or because your kids are perfect or because you are rich. Happy is something that you decide to be no matter what is going on in your life. Now I am not saying that happiness is a 24 hour a day thing or that it is easy, or that you can wish yourself from depression or life troubles to instant bliss, I am just saying that now that I know that things don't have to be perfect for me to be happy, I can better live with the the things that upset me & throw my life balance off. So I will move on. Next!

My husband is home. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh. I don't sleep well when he is traveling so for the last couple of days I have been able to sleep like a baby with my protector & my rock right there. Welcome home babe, so glad that you made it back safely. (He reads my blog tehe).

My beautiful & talented sister won a very large account on her brand new business!!!! She totally Rocks & I have to find a picture of her to post so that I can share her. I am so, so proud of her & her success. Puts a big ol smile on my face (I am sure not as big as the smile on hers though). She stalks my blog so T, I know that I have told you this but I want to say it again, I am so incredibly proud of you little sis. Love ya to pieces. (She reads my blog too).

We had big girls play date at The Pink House last night & I had a blast! Debbie, Karla, Michelle & I scrapped into the wee hours (okay, it was a weeknight & the hubby is home & I only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before so the wee hours was about midnight). Here is what I was able to do:

Michelle finally took this off the wall of the Pink House & I love this layout so much that I wanted to put it here:

My classes were, yet again, a total blast! I had a terrific time, wonderful TA's and lost a total of 25lbs on the scrapbook facilitators diet. Here are some photos from the last 2 shows:

Buffalo (comments on Buffalo, first off, there are some hardcore class takers there, you ladies rock & my hat is so off to you. I saw some 15classers, definitely 2 thumbs up and secondly, it is just cruel to be so close to Niagra Falls & on such a tight schedule that you can't stop & visit! Lastly, Buffalo was the most quant (sp) and beautiful town I have seen in a very long time and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. -

Arlington (Comments on Arlington. Texas ladies have mad jokes! I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life!!!! And they were clean jokes. I did not think it possible to go to a place that is more humid than Charleston but I did in Texas. And thirdly, I had to drive by Six Flags, one of the 2 in the US that I have not been too, everyday to get to work. Torture) -

Have a great day & blog you later!
