Boy oh Boy

That boy of mine. The little guy that is. He is such a character! Here is a small sampling of some of the things that he does:
  • He has been so excited to go back to school that he has been waking up early. In fact, he woke me up at 3:30 yesterday for a hot breakfast.
  • I went back to sleep after he left this morning and when I got up, the front door was standing wide open. I have been chasing flies ever since.
  • He refuses to wear bug spray, even though he is very sensitive to bug bites. Several times he has been in misery over the chiggers in his underpants but I still have to tell him everyday.
  • He fancies himself the next Jeff Corwin so no animal no matter how poisionous or dangerous is off limits to his little bit of "research". I am in terror of what he will find everytime he goes outside.
  • He hates his shoes. As soon as he gets home from school he takes them off and tracks down his flip flops. Anyone know how to clean grubby little boy toes? I have tried everything.
  • He is an absolute cutey patooty but is covered in scars. Everytime I ask him how he hurt himself, he usually says "I don't know" and goes right back to what he's doing at the time. Huge goose egg in the center of his forehead, no clue. Gash on his foot, didn't even know about it. Tons of scratches on his arms, face & legs, no idea

Sigh. Oh well, what's a mom to do? It also turns out that I have not ruined Aaron for life through my home school efforts and he is actually enjoying school & doing quite well. Hurrayy!!!!!

Wuz Up Bloggers?

It's the first day of school here and all 3 of my chickadees are sitting attentively in class. Ariel at college, Aaron in High School (11th grade, how did that happen) and the lil guy in Elementary. He was so excited that he woke me up at 5am on the dot to cook him "a hot meal" lol. I have actually been able to catch up on some stuff and I even took a 45 minute nap! Who knew that the house could get so dirty just by having a couple of boys in it of the summer? Anyway, I smell productivity! I've got some new kits in the works for Orlando and am busy getting some class projects done for La Pink House. I have suspiciously little to say. Go figure. A girl has not blogged in weeks and has nothing to say. I will say it in layouts.
This one is for the design team challenge at The Pink House. Use your favorite technique. For me it is -hands down- distressing. My printer died so I don't have any pics yet. Must go to Wal Mart today:

This one is for my class embellishment 101 at The Pink House. I know, I know, the sun is in the wrong place but I thought it was a wonky twist on tradition. Don't worry, the students will get the opportunity to put it elsewhere if they don't like it there:
These are just for laughs & giggles:

This one is a work in progress & not quite sure where it is going to go next but I just love the paper. All of the blue you see outlining the swirl is blue crackle paint. Love that stuff!

I am an admitted blog stalker and I have to admit that I absolutely LOVE Shaina Nunnelly's blog. She is HILARIOUS! *and you should see some of her work, oh la la* Check her out if you get a chance, you will want to read it from the very beginning. That's all for me folks, have a terrific Thursday and blog you tomorrow.

Long Time No See

It has been a minute since I have last posted. I didn't think that anyone would notice but alas, I have been chastised several times from friends that would like to see what I am up to. It has been busy & I have been traveling a lot. I have a new hat, Design Team Coordinator for Scrappin at the Pink House. Love the ladies on that team they are so talented! Love the Pink House it absolutely rocks! My kids will be back in school next week and I will be a homeschool mom no more. I miss my boys already. No more lazy summer days or time at the pool/beach/whatever. They have travelled with me to my last few shows and have been so very cool to work with. My big guy runs my booth while I am in class and my little guy helps (he even tells every one that stops by "thank you, please come again"). So for every that told me that my boys were the best, thank you so much, but it is not my fault! lol. God always knows what he is doing and he gave me terrific sons because I would probably have had a nervous break down years ago if he had not. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for letting me know that you like me blog! Have a great evening!!!!!!
